Trainer Liz Thomas

Ms. Thomas is a breeder/owner of Rhodesian Ridgebacks. She received a diploma from the West Virginia Canine College in 1994, and since has accumulated hundreds of hours in continuing education. She is committed to teaching you to communicate with your dog primarily through the use of positive reinforcement. Liz has been a professional all-breed dog trainer for eight years. She competes in AKC obedience trials, AKC conformation, and AKC and ASFA lure coursing. Her Ridgeback, Simone, received the First Select Award in the Triathlon at the 2000 National Ridgeback Specialty in Lexington, KY. She is a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the US (RRCUS) and chairs the educational committee for The Chesapeake Bay Area Rhodesian Ridgeback Club (CBARRC). She also serves as a consultant to Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue, Inc., on temperament, training and behavioral issues.

Liz' classes are well known for their fun and innovative training techniques. When not with her own dogs or training other peoples' dogs, she enjoys riding her horse.
