About Us

The Old Dominion Animal Health Center was founded in 1970 by Dr. Gordon Davis. Over the years, we have built a state-of-the-art veterinary facility and assembled a team of highly skilled, friendly and compassionate professionals. The one thing we all have in common, besides our passion for animals, is our dedication and commitment to serving the needs of our patients and their loving owners.

We are a full service animal healthcare facility offering a full range of complete veterinary medical and surgical services, as well as outstanding boarding, grooming and training services. In other words, we’re here to meet all of your animal companion’s needs. Our modern facilities span over 24,000 square feet and feature comfortable reception areas – a separate one for dogs and cats – eight examination rooms, four dental stations, and two surgical rooms. Through our comprehensive services and spacious, well-equipped facilities, we strive to make each and every interaction as comfortable and high-quality as possible.

Our networked pet health information system ensures accurate, up-to-the-minute information about your pet, available from any room in the facility. With ODAH Center, nothing is left to chance. Our clinic even features an adjoining apartment to house our always on-call technician for in-house emergencies. Whatever your pet’s needs, anytime of day or night, we’re here to assist, every step of the way!

The ODAH Center is much more than an animal hospital. We offer “resort-style” boarding facilities, designed by vets and architects that specialize in boarding accommodations. We have expert obedience trainers on hand to assist our clients with raising happy, healthy and well-behaved pets. And we don’t forget our human friends, either! You’re sure to find something to make you smile in our pet boutique, which features unique pet-related gifts and crafts.

Old Dominion Animal Health Center is proud to have achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). As an AAHA accredited hospital, ODAH Center voluntarily meets the highest standards established for veterinary care facilities. What this means for you and your pet is that you can be confident in the quality of services and care you’ll receive when you come to our office.

At Old Dominion Animal Health Center, we pride ourselves on the quality of our staff, services and facility, and most of all, the total health and comfort for you and your pet. We look forward to welcoming you and your animal companion to our office soon and hope to be able to serve you for many years to come!
